Art has always played a part in my life and I am absolutely thrilled that my passion is now my main focus. I was born and grew up in Barry, South Wales and came to live in Semaphore, South Australia when I was 24. I trained originally in the UK as a Textile Designer and worked for Actil Ltd designing bedlinen for their exclusive range and for Department stores such as David Jones, Myers, Harris Scarfe etc. I see pattern in absolutely everything around me and am particularly inspired by Gustav Klimt and MC Escher.  

I'm often asked how long my drawings take - they take about 4 - 6 weeks depending on how complex they become. For my portraits, I start with the eyes and take my cues from there - as if the eyes aren't right, there's no point in continuing on! Each Portrait is someone who I have photographed or been inspired by visually - I love the journey and have no idea where it will take me each time.  I draw in Pen only, using Prismacolor Pens in particular - I love the way they blend together almost like watercolour paints. I don't plan ahead - just see what happens

I've been fortunate enough to win prizes in many Art Shows and Exhibitions and have sold many commissioned artworks so I decided to create a range of Greetings Cards and Prints of my Artworks which are also now available in some of the beautiful shops and galleries here in SA, and can be ordered from me personally here.
